I started out learning to become a photographer. As time went on, I realized I wanted a website to show my work online. I started looking for website designers. There are lots of them out there, for a price. That's when I got it in my head that I would try my hand at designing my own site: Moments In Time Photos. That soon led to designing other sites that you can take a peek at in my Portfolio.

My goal is to provide you with a customized, professional site designed to your personal needs at a reasonable price. I enjoy working with individuals on personal or business websites. Examples of my work can be seen in my Portfolio.

A Little About Good Website Design

How often have you come across a website that was frustrating to browse? I'm sure the answer is, "Lots!"

Unfortunately, there are many terrible websites floating around out there in cyberspace - and that includes professionally designed ones! When it comes down to it, good design is good design and it doesn't matter if you pay $1000 or $20. If certain design elements are left out in the cold during the design process, the usability of your site will definitely suffer.

Even the experienced web surfer may not realize just how important a website's design is to visitors, but the truth is, the design is critical, especially if you plan to earn revenue from the site, want to attract a lot of people, and keep them coming back for more.

Good websites don't just happen. It takes an artist's eye to be able to combine the visual and the verbal. Before you choose a website designer, look at other sites they have created. Do you like their style? Are the sites easy to navigate? Are they readable? Are the sites eye-catching? Are they unique or do they look like the ordinary template type?

Your website allows you to share yourself with the rest of the world. Your website helps build your reputation and promote your image. You want a web designer that will help you reach that goal. Making sure your website is better than average is the trick to attracting visitors. Effective layouts, interesting text, beautiful photos, and crisp, artful graphics will demand attention from your viewers.

Your website should stand out from all of the others out there that have the same interests as yours. A site should be eye-catching and should have well-written text that is easy to read. Your information should be worded in a clear concise manner that gives a potential buyer confidence in doing business with you. Your site should say something about you. Your site should also be easy to navigate and also be interesting enough to keep your visitors coming back. Your website should also download quickly and be viewable in all browsers. A "busy" site will take longer to load and may drive viewers away.

This does not need to be a stressful time for you. I will help guide you through all that you need to know, from start to finish, in setting up your site. I can design custom-made title graphics, provide textured backgrounds, buttons, lines, icons and more. I will make suggestions and help you collect and organize the information needed to be on your website. I will even give you tips on how to photograph items you wish to display.

Depending on your budget, you can start with just a couple of pages and add to your site over time; or, I can create a detailed website right from the start. And as you and your business grows, so too should your site. Keep it interesting to your viewers and they will keep returning. Having a site doesn't need to be expensive. If your budget is limited, start small and build your site up over time.
